Smart retail customer flow technology
Unlock the true potential of your building with smart retail analytics
Smart retail customer flow technology solutions
The retail industry faces inside and outside pressure with competition forcing retailers to exploit the sales floor by capitalising on in-store analytics and digitised business models. Smart customer flow technology ensures an attractive customer journey, increased sales and reduced costs.
Based on unique multisensor technology and experienced system integrators, retailers and other public places such as museums, casinos or churches are able to track the flow of any visitor accurately. No need for expensive and laborious academic behavioural studies from on-site observers, it’s all there in the data.
How can smart retail sensors & technology be used
These 3D sensors are the most complete portfolio of sensors on the market and master every people counting and people flow measurement challenges with high precision. This technology enables people counting, people flow measurement and complex in-store analytics applications.
Customer, flow & dwell times
Cover large areas and gather highly accurate footfall-related data such as the number of customers, their flow and dwell times in dynamic and busy areas.
In-store occupancy analytics & heatmaps
AI-powered sensors track shopper movements through large areas to acquire essential data that offers insights into staffing ratios, the profitability of promotions and queue times
Indoor & outdoor applications
The sensors set industry standards when it comes to accuracy in-store. This functionality doesn’t need to stop on your doorstep as the sensors are robust and resistant to all kinds of external influences, such as shadow and heat emission.
Large area tracking
As the name suggests, overlapping tracking areas of single sensors track larger areas to compile a complete picture of customer behaviour. This even works if the sensors are mounted on different ceiling heights.
Dynamic queue detection
The dynamic queue detection algorithm allows for exact and accurate fill-level, exit-rate, waiting time and abandoner rate calculation. The shape and size of the queues are not static but dynamically adjusted.
Data privacy & security
Image processing takes place directly on the sensor. No video stream leaves the sensor and data privacy is guaranteed. The sensors include a setting to define up to four privacy protection levels, meeting every possible data privacy requirement.
Retail sensor benefits
In the retail industry, sensors and algorithms help improve the understanding of customer behaviour. Not only does A.I. further increase the data accuracy of well-established KPIs such as customers entering or exiting counting and dwell times, but provides completely new data of in-store behaviour.
Face mask detection
Covid-19 has changed our daily life and brought us some new regulations. A basic provision is to compel customers and/or visitors to wear face masks and the accompanying obligation to recognise whether a person is wearing a face mask or not.
Group counting
People in groups (buying units) often show different shopping behaviour than individuals. They do their shopping together and often one person pays for the group. Understand the relation between the number of buying units that enter a facility and actual sales figures. This unique technology excludes staff for accurate reporting.
Gender statistics
Target group definition is nothing new. Correct identification of the audience affects the planning, creation, and implementation of all activities.
Staff exclusion
When running a business of any kind, one of the most essential bits of basic information is the number of customers. In practice, numbers are easily distorted when staff are also counted. Equip staff with specially designed tags, all with the same standardized pattern and use the Staff Exclusion plugin to exclude staff from the customer counts.
View direction
Is your advertising getting seen? Want to find out what your customer’s attention is focused on? Merchandising and placing an advertisement at the right place is crucial for maximum brand impact. Having the right data for optimisation is the challenge and provide a view direction vector.
Streamline operations & planning
Understanding customer trends by location, date and area, will enable you to improve resource planning, increase customer satisfaction and boost revenue.
